The soccer player, goalkeeper Daniel Tenenbaum, was born in Rio de Janeiro. In 2009, at the age of 14, he was part of the Brazilian delegation to the Maccabiah. In 2016, he made Aliyah to Israel to play soccer, he says, and he was signed up on the Maccabi Tel-Aviv soccer team: “I had a good opportunity to come here, to play here.” In the 2019-20 season, Tenenbaum became senior goalkeeper for the team and made a great many saves. This was a peak season for him and for Maccabi Tel Aviv.
